Wireless Video Share Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the requirements for using Video Share?
To use Video Share, you must have a Video Share package on your wireless account and a Video Share capable phone. Both you and the person you are sending / receiving video from must be in a Third-Generation (3G) area. Please refer to Coverage Maps to view your local 3G area.

2. How to do I initiate a Video Share call?

1. From a 3G area, dial the 10-digit wireless phone number of the person that you would like to send video.

2. Wait for the Video Share Ready prompt to appear on your phone's main display. This may take approximately 5-20 seconds.

3. After the Video Share Ready displays, initiate the video stream by pressing the camera button on your phone. Your phone will automatically switch to the speakerphone mode, and your camera will activate.

4. The person that you called will see a Video Share message on the phone display, and his/her phone will switch to speakerphone mode. The video connection will automatically be established, and both phones will display the live video being captured by your phone.

3. How can I initiate Video Share while I'm already on a 3G call?
When you place a call, a Video Share Ready prompt will automatically appear. You can press the camera button on your phone at any time during a 3G call to active Video Share.

4. Can I start and stop Video Share during a call?
Yes. You can start and stop Video Share as many times as you like during the same call as long as you and the person you are sharing video with remain in a 3G area.

5. What will cause a Video Share call to end?
A Video Share call will end for any of the following reasons:

1. Either party passes out of a 3G coverage area. The voice portion of the call will continue, but Video Share will end.

2. Either party places the voice call on hold, either manually or to accept another call via Call Waiting.

3. Either party ends the voice call.
